I hail from Western New York State.

I'm Irish in descent and forever a child at heart.

I'm an artist, a writer, an adventurer, and a seeker.

 

Photography has been a passion within my family line for generations.

Since the first time I picked up a camera around age 11, it's been an addiction.

Candids are my favorites - that's where life truly lives.

I will not stop taking pictures until I leave this existence.

ilyAIMY on stage at the Spring Gathering. The Refuge, Woodstock, MD. The day I got to see one of my most beloved bands in person, in a magical place. I was filled with new life that day, and every day since.

Let us hold a moment of silence for my starfish toe ring, which lost its life in the Outer Banks, NC, and is now most certainly somewhere at the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean.

Tracy's had a real eye for catching us Live - and that doesn't just come from good reflexes or a sense of composition - it's because she pays attention to the music, knows where that grimace is coming, where the cellist is going - and seems to be PSYCHICALLY attuned to when an artist is going to leap and where they're going to land. All the action shots in the world don't matter if you're looking the wrong direction.

Tracy Buchanan is a wonderful artist and photographer. I say this because she approaches photography as an art. Tracy has been to several of my shows and the pictures she captures of my performances are honest, true depictions of a moment in music. I know this because when I see the result of her work, I can assure you that she captures each moment and feeling as I intended it to be. Her ability to convey emotion in each thought provoking click of her camera is amazing.  Tracy is very professional and one of the kindest people I have ever met.
